For Families Abroad & Children with Special Needs

While completing her degree at the University of Kent, Manju worked as a substitute teacher in schools across Kent and London — and many of her students were NRI and international children facing the very same adjustments she was navigating as a student herself. The cultural tightrope, the longing for familiarity, the quiet work of belonging somewhere new — she knew it from both sides of the classroom. That’s the understanding she brings to every young person she works with.

For children with special needs, her certification in Special Needs Education ensures every session is thoughtfully adapted. Pacing, communication style, and activities are shaped around each child’s strengths and individual requirements. Every young person deserves support that truly meets them where they are.

Client Testimonials

"We are deeply grateful to Shalom Therapy for the incredible support they have provided our child. A special thank you to Ms. Manju ma'am, whose kindness and warmth truly set her apart. Her ability to adapt to each child's needs is remarkable she meets them where they are and grows with them, adjusting her approach with care and understanding.

What stands out most is her patience and dedication. She listens truly listens no matter how long it takes, and is always reachable when we need guidance. Her gentle, sweet-spoken nature makes children feel safe, heard, and valued. She has a natural way of connecting with kids, building trust and rapport that makes every session meaningful.

Through multiple sessions, we've seen a genuine transformation in our child. Her non-judgmental perspective, along with her understanding of both local and global cultural influences, allows her to guide teenagers with insight and empathy.

Ms. Manju ma'am has been a steady source of support for our family, and we are sincerely thankful for the positive impact she has had on our child's growth and well-being."

Dr. Athira Hareendran Nair

Glasgow, Scotland

"Therapy with Manju ma'am has been life-changing for me during a period when I felt overwhelmed, emotionally unstable, and struggled with intense shifts of anger and sadness. She helped me build deep self-awareness, understand my triggers, and regain control of my daily life.

With her support, I learned to let go of guilt about being myself, set firm boundaries, and rebuild my self-respect. I stopped accepting being reduced to a 'WhatsApp joke wife' and started standing fully in my identity with clarity and dignity.

I've grown into a more confident, ambitious, and emotionally strong woman. I am now a braver, more communicative mother who is healing childhood trauma while becoming more grounded in who I am. I told my family clearly that I will not fight them just to get through a day, but I will be in the frontline to fight against the world for them.

Overall, I feel stronger, more self-aware, and empowered in how I live, love, and show up in my life."

Sherine

Auckland, New Zealand

"We had a great experience when we started with life skills sessions for my kid who was stepping into teenage. The sessions helped him to be more confident and also to cope with the new school environment in a different country. It is much appreciated that Manju Ma'am patiently listens to us, spends time in understanding the situations and comes up with sessions to tackle those. In this world of business-minded people, she is a gem. Thanks!"
